When we were requested to make a lightweight robust Collar for Law Enforcement and Military Working Dogs we wanted to build a collar that was lightweight but didn’t compromise on strength. To achieve this, we chose the ITW Nexus GT Cobra polymer buckle system, designed to be more robust than any other type of plastic hardware on the market.

With a targeted tensile load of over 200kg of force, the GT Cobra buckle is a 100% Polymer system with no metal components.  A few of the many GT Cobra advantages are its lightweight construction and noise discipline.

When choosing an attachment point, we wanted no compromises. This is why we selected a black plated, forged steel V-Ring. The components are fastened together with our own CNC controlled sewing, to reinforce the 38mm wide webbing and retain excess webbing with MILSPEC Velcro.
